Chicago Fire Roster Card
As a way to turn their 2019 roster cards into a collectable item, the Chicago Fire reached out to artists to illustrate portraits of select players. I was assigned the 2017 MLS Golden Boot winner and All-Star Nemanja Nikolic, a striker who scored 51 goals in only 96 career MLS games. This portrait was used on the back of the roster card that was handed out to fans at Seat Geek Stadium for the May 8 game against the New England Revolution.
The illustration must have been good luck...Nemanja scored two goals in the Fire's 5-0 victory.
