Shelter-in-Place Signs
Chicago has a lot of neon signs. A lot. Not as many as there used to be, but it seems like you can't go more than a few blocks in any direction without seeing an amazing sign. I drew one of these almost every night for the first few weeks after the initial COVID-19 shelter-in-place order was announced in Illinois, and it was a way to shine some light on many the many great signs that have graced our city. Most of the ones I drew are still in use, but I also included a few fan favorites that are no longer with us.

I ran out of steam after about 25 or 30 of these, but my list of "signs to draw" is still sitting by my desk, so I may pick it up again...depending on how long this pandemic keeps us at home.
A few "bonus" sketches that only survived for 24 hours in my Instagram stories.
